All good advertising touches a zeitgeist. I suppose AI could compile a list, but I am not sure how to phrase the query. So. I will begin my manual quest with work from the biggest agency in the world (at the time) for a little client called Toyota.
n 2000, Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore created print advertisements for the Toyota Corolla titled "For overprotective parents." The work featured images of toddlers laden with extra, extra safety gear. Every young parent is touched by the zeitgeist of responsibility at one time or another. This campaign used humor and relatable imagery to connect.
The perils of paddlesport, etc.
Toyota ran only 2 TV commercials after the print ads had generated earned media in the millions. The campaign had such strong legs, in fact, that they could put away the bubble wrap and approach any activity with a touch of humor. This below spot was bound to make the young actor never pick a racket up again. At least the Mom seems happy.
